Who We Are

The Parent Coalition to End Human Trafficking (PCHT)

We are a dedicated team committed to fighting human trafficking through various interventions. We help parents, caretakers, those at risk, and frontline workers by providing support, information, resources, assistance, and education with the goal of ending human trafficking.

The PCHT was founded by surviving parent of human trafficking, Susan Young.

We are a coalition established by parents for parents. Founded by mother of 4 and human trafficking survivor Susan Young in 2017, the Parent Coalition to End Human Trafficking exists to provide support and education to families who are at risk of, in the midst of, or are in the aftermath of a human trafficking situation..

About Susan:

Susan Young
Founder and CEO

‘Prevention education would have saved my family.’

Susan Young is a mother of 4 who survived the unimaginable. After her eldest daughter was trafficked in 2012, they were tasked with the overwhelming idea of rebuilding their lives. Recovery has been a long and lonely process. But, that hasn’t stopped Susan from trying every possible avenue to heal and unite her family once more.

With the desire that no one else ever goes through what she and her family have, Susan has devoted her life to stopping human trafficking before it starts through education and awareness training.

She is a founding leader of Anti-Trafficking International and has spoken around the world on the realities of human trafficking from a mother’s perspective. Susan’s work is a catalyst for change and her influence has macro and micro ripple effects.

Learning what human trafficking is, how it occurs, and who is most at risk, provides parents with a higher chance of protecting those in their care. Susan also works tirelessly to use her lived expertise to affect change from the inside by working alongside government agencies.

From working with local officials to the FBI, her work is vast and varied. Susan helps to support legislation and the prosecution of traffickers. In 2020 Susan served as a panelist for the White House Trafficking and Department of Justice Law Enforcement Summit and she was a guest speaker at UNC Pembroke Trafficking Conference. Susan also has worked with Vietnam Veterans of America, and, along with her team, trained over 3,000 law enforcement officers with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the International Association of Police.

Today Susan’s voice of authority is playing an ever-increasing vital role in ending human trafficking worldwide.
